Grok Gives You Superpowers
All technical drawings and, above all, the production files that are loaded into an LGS machine so that it can then produce the steel frame.
1979 at the Spängergasse School Computer Center in Vienna: an IBM 370 with 256 kB of main memory and four 100 MB disk drives, each the size of a washing machine. We learned that very large companies had IBM computers with 8 MB. In December 1979, I got my own computer: an Apple ][ with 32 kB of RAM; the cassette recorder from my stereo system had to serve as external storage.
Technological advances since then have been enormous, and a few years ago, for the first time, they made viable AI possible.
DeepL has been my go-to translation tool since 2019. It also uses AI—specifically, AI designed for translations. So you open DeepL, paste the text you want to translate into the left-hand side, and copy the translation from the right. It works well as long as you don't have too much to translate.
In May 2023, I wanted to highlight the international nature of the GEMINI project by providing translations in 22 languages. About 20 hours later, I had finished setting up the DeepL API (Application Programming Interface) integration in my CMS (Content Management System).
Programming work must always be profitable: Invest time in programming to save time with the program you create. My historical example of this was my first major web design project in the fall of 1997. I had three months to complete the website. I spent two months writing my own CMS (content management system) and then had one month left to build the website. I was definitely able to finish it faster that way.
Even if you only factor in the one hour saved by not having to copy text into the left field and then copy the translation, the investment pays for itself after 20 weeks of newsletter translations. Moreover, tedious routine tasks lead to errors.
I would have liked to incorporate automated translation into Scribus, the open-source DTP (desktop publishing) program. However, cost-effectiveness was a factor against it: only a few documents per year need to be translated into another language. All brochures for the GEMINI project were created using Scribus DTP.
If you could program at least 10 times faster, the time invested would be very worthwhile. I described the problem to Grok, discussed a few corrections, and ended up with my Scribus extension for translating with DeepL. It wasn’t exactly like programming 10 times faster. It was more like programming 30 times faster. I wouldn’t even have been able to type 17.5 kB in that amount of time.
Let me explain all these terms: FreeCAD is a very powerful open-source, multi-platform CAD (computer-aided design) program. It’s in the same league as software that costs tens of thousands of euros to purchase and several thousand euros a year for updates. But as the terms “free” and “open source” imply, it’s all free of charge.
Python is a programming language. Many programs allow users to create extensions in Python. This includes Scibus DTP and FreeCAD. Smart home systems are also programmed in Python.
LGS stands for Light Gauge Steel. It is a very efficient construction method.

EWG - Plan Your Own Energy, Heating, and Garage, and GEMINI
|
In March 2023, I searched Freelancermap.com for a freelancer to handle the house’s design. Given the time it would take to learn and implement everything, it was unthinkable at the time to do it myself. After all, I have to find investors and take care of all the other details of the project. I found a freelancer with extensive CAD experience. Let’s start with the garage—it’s simpler than the house. The initial results were quite frustrating: How could anyone even think of placing a steel beam right in the middle of a two-car garage? He was very experienced in CAD, but certainly not when it came to garages. By the way, he used 3D CAD software from Siemens with the shockingly high prices mentioned above.
My next step is to design the EWG—the Energy-Efficient Heated Garage—and then the GEMINI House. This includes all the technical drawings and, most importantly, the production files that are loaded into an LGS machine so it can then manufacture the steel frame.
Basically, it’s no different than ordering a brochure from Druck.at: Create a PDF, upload it to Druck.at, place the print order, and a week later, 500 brochures arrive. Except in this case, it’s not a PDF for a print job, but rather all the processing details for the components of a steel frame: a bevel at the ends where a cable opening has been punched, a drill hole for screws here—every detail is implemented fully automatically by the LGS machine.

A programmer for 50 years
|
In October 1976, after what felt like an endless six-week wait, I received an HP 67 pocket calculator: 224 program steps and 26 memory locations for numbers. It’s been almost 50 years since I started programming. Not just any old way, but always with the ambition to achieve something extraordinary.
Programming involves systematically analyzing a problem and implementing the solution in software. In the early days of their companies, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk still did their own programming.
Above all, Grok grants superpowers to those who are able to ask the right questions in order to systematically analyze a problem.

Looking for Home Renovation Projects
|
I've already got 4 projects. They're spread out all over the place: Burgenland, the Elbe, Bremen, and Switzerland. I'd love to take on more projects.
The wall heater's electronics: a power supply, a PWM controller for the fans, and a microcomputer with Wi-Fi and Zigbee for control.

Who are we? Our shareholders
|
Who are we? Our shareholders. I ask all existing shareholders—and, hopefully, many new ones soon—to submit contributions like this.
So far, only 2% of our shareholders have become shareholders themselves by referring new shareholders. That number should increase significantly in the future. The offer is 10% of the purchased shares for a direct referral and 5% for an assist. I understand the term “assist” in the same way as in soccer: whoever passes the ball to the goal scorer has made an assist. |
